Oh the Humanity….. discuss

A thief in Paris planned to steal some paintings from the Louvre. After
carefully planning, he got past security, stole the paintings and made
it safely to his van. However, he was captured only two blocks away when
his van ran out of gas.

When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied:

"Monsieur, I had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh."

(And you thought I lacked De Gaulle to tell you a story like this.)

Sunday was one of those fun days I live for!!  Got up and called in… the other sgt didn’t bother coming in to do roll call, so i rolled out of bed and got to work within ten minutes… yes, everyone noticed…  (That’s why I shaved my head Sunday night!!)
Roll call part of the day went pretty well… actually got a lot of paperwork done.  Then when I was getting ready to go, heard an interesting call go out.  Asked dispatcher to GB the call and move it to the front of the queue… she did, a unit responded, and when all was said and done we had one suspect in custody, many many many thousands of dollars of stolen stuff recovered, and a very happy complainant.  I also got four hours of overtime
Got home in time for quiche, a haircut, some tv and bed.  Gotta love it!
Monday was MLK day.  I worked on keeping a low profile and not causing anybody any work… the officers were thankful!  Dinner was Church’s Chicken.
Tuesday was an actual day off… watched a movie or so… stayed lazy, but I did stretch!  Made Fajitas for dinner.  Never knew how easy Guacamole was to make.  Watched NCIS  and made an early night of it.
